Today Google annouce the second Google Science Fair and world's largest online science fair.

Last date submissions : April 1, 2012 at 11:59 GMT (or 6:59pm ET/3:59pm PT).

Prizes : $50,000/-, 10 days trip at Galapagos Islands, along with National Geographic Explorer

Google+ users get ready for the personalized search results

The giant search engine Google launches its new service called "Search, Plus Your World" , this service of Google will aid the G+ users to search the photos, posts and many more of you and your friends.

At Google, we always want to return the most comprehensive and relevant answers to your questions, and many times those answers are in the open public Web, but many times those answers are in your own personal content,” Singhal said. “This is the first time we’re bringing personal content right into the results page.”

With the time, Google is transforming itself as search engine, which was earlier bound to display the content on the given term but now it will understand people and relationships too. Google transformation as Social Search which comes up with the three main features.

1. Personal Results.

This feature will help to get information for you, like Google+ images and posts which belongs to you as well as those are shared with you, you will only be able to see it on your results pages.

2. Profiles in Search

This feature aids you to search people are closer to you or might be interested in following.

3. People and Pages

This feature will search Google+ profiles and Google+ pages on specific topics like product, service or area of interest details.

FACEBOOK is Googling world's best Hackers

You have a good programming skills ? Than facebook offers you its 2^nd "HACKER CUP" Challenge. "Hacking is core to how we build at Facebook," - this was posted on the company blog on annoucing 2012 competition. Facebook has launch its new services "TIMELINE" and better smart searching algorithm, to make this services reliable and prevent it from the illegal activities.

This competition is open for all anywhere in the world. Facebook's competition will taste deepest knowledge of each participants in five rounds. The competition will begin on January 20 with 72 hour qualification round. Further the three rounds will filter the numbers of participants at the final round best 25 competitors will have to their proficiency at the Facebook main headquater at Menlo Park, California in the Month of March.

Google in last few months have great transformation in its look. After the UI change for gmail, blogger, google home page with horizontal menu. Today it came up with the vertical menu, just move mouse cursor on the down arrow image, it will popup the menu with black background.

TRAI extends the SMSes per day limit upto 200

Its a good news for all the SMS users, as TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has announced to double the SMS limit by 200. Earlier the SMSes were limit upto 100 per day. But TRAI received a proposal from the service providers on behalf of consumer to raise the number of SMSes per day. TRAI earlier imposed the restriction of non-commerical SMSes which can be send from a SIM to 100  whereas, no restriction on commerical messages that are sent via telemarketing companies.

These service will be effective from Tuesday, 01 Nov, 2011.

"Mobile Phone" - it has become an integral part of every Indian. Before we leave home for office, college or shopping we never forget to collect our mobile handset from the desk or table. Each and every day new mobile handsets are introduced in the market and the numbers of  mobile handsets subscribers with the wireless facility is total 89.2 crore which is said today by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

The definition of mobile phone has changed, its no longer now a voice communicating device but its a device that  entertains the individual through songs, videos, games and yes various apps that aid us to complete our office work too. ASSOCHAM conducted a survey at the six major cities Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad of the country about 1,370 responses were collected of age between 20-30 years and conclude that on an average every Indian mobile subscribes update or change their mobile phones to use the latest mobile apps and the price of mobile phones which has gradually fall down also helped to grow this market.

As usual i was in front of my wifes (PC & internet). Sitting on the chair with both the legs on the table next to the monitor. Suddenly, i felt some one is shaking my chair than i saw the moving door of my bedroom, immediately went in the gallery in ten secs took back my position and again i felt that some one is shaking my chair. It was confirmed with my neighbour that we experienced earth quake. I stay on eighth floor of the building.

While you are reading this blog, Apple would have added more customers by selling more than 10,00,000 (one million) of iPhone4S which still continues.

Some of you might be wondering that Apple already have iPhone4 in market and it was time to iPhone5. You are wrong dear, actually iPhone4S is iPhone5. So now dont think of iPhone6, there will be next version of iPhone but with different name series.

Every time with the new version of the operating system is release the hardware requirement specification also goes high. Minimum memory requiremets for windows operating system in chronological order.

Now, when Windows 8 Devloper Preview is release before downloading and using it, you might be thinking that my system is enough eligible for installing Windows 8 or not. Be relax and feel a great relief because usage of Windows 8 will require less memory, it means that we can run numbers of applications concurrently on windows 8 OS. Microsoft wish to keep all its Windows OS users to upgrage with Windows 8, with what ever hardware resources they have in the system. Which will force to upgarde to Windows 8.

Less memory usage will also reduce power consumption. Hmm, how ? In any PC, the RAM is the device which is constantly in use, this prompts the manufacturer to inculde more RAM and as amount or size of RAM increases the power consumption will also be raised.

Do we know that when our applications is running its values are stored at mulitple locations on RAM, which is redundany – to reduce this, the memory combining technique is used which will identify the duplicate data or values of the application and it will keep only one copy of those values.

Service changes and reductions
There are numbers of OS services which are running constantly, which requires memory space. Windows 8 is going to remove numbers of such services. Whereas some of the services are “Manually Start”, “Always Running” or “Start on demand”.

You will notice in Plug and Play and Windows Update are trigger-started in Windows 8, whereas this services were always running in Windows 7.
